Confidence in the records.
Inventory differences can arise from timing, movement, unit-of-measure errors or incomplete records. A focused stock engagement examines the locations, count process and reconciliation questions that matter to your business.
We agree whether the work involves observing a management count, selected test counts, reconciliation or a review of inventory controls. Valuation, condition and slow-moving stock analysis are included only where specifically agreed.
A clear scope.
Purpose behind every step.
Locations & count planning
Agree sites, inventory categories, count dates and access arrangements.
Count-process review
Understand management’s count instructions, team responsibilities and movement controls.
Selected physical checks
Perform agreed observations or test counts and document the items examined.
Movement & cut-off checks
Review selected receipts, dispatches and transfers around the agreed count date.
Stock-record reconciliation
Compare count results with the available inventory records and examine differences.
Exceptions & reporting
Report the procedures, discrepancies and supporting information still required.
Useful findings.
Clear reporting.
Documented count findings
A record of the agreed observations, selected checks and exceptions identified.
Reconciliation priorities
Differences organised for management investigation and adjustment decisions.
Practical control observations
Relevant count and recordkeeping improvements arising from the work.
Management remains responsible for safeguarding inventory, organising the count and maintaining stock records. A standalone stock review does not provide an audit opinion on the full financial statements or automatically certify every item or its value.
Bring the requirement.
We’ll map the records.
Inventory listing by location, item codes and units, management count instructions, recent stock movements, count sheets, adjustment history and relevant warehouse access arrangements.
Before work begins
We clarify the reporting purpose, scope and intended users.
Fees and timing depend on complexity, record readiness, access and the work agreed.
Any independence, eligibility or appointment requirements are considered before acceptance.

Founder & CEO · Capital Plus Auditing of Accounts
A Dubai-based firm.
A personal approach.
Capital Plus Auditing of Accounts supports mainland, free-zone and offshore businesses from Business Bay, Dubai. For your audit, that means a conversation about your reporting requirements, a defined engagement and a team you can speak to throughout the work.
01 / A defined audit scope
Know the reporting purpose, period and deliverables before the engagement starts.
02 / The detail explained
Discuss outstanding evidence and relevant findings in practical terms.
03 / Local jurisdiction context
Assess the reporting request and auditor eligibility for your company.
Specific questions.
Straightforward answers.
Will every inventory item be counted?
Only if a full count is explicitly agreed and feasible. Scope may instead involve selected test counts, observations or specified locations. The report explains the coverage.
Does stock audit include valuation?
Not automatically. Costing, valuation, condition and obsolete-stock work need suitable information and a separately agreed scope.
Can you work across multiple warehouses?
We can discuss the locations, dates and access needed. Coverage and coordination are agreed before confirming the engagement and timetable.
How do we get started?
